I build small, single-purpose apps for Confluence and Jira, each one doing a single job properly. The thing I care about is that they keep working. Plenty of marketplace apps break quietly when a platform changes and are never fixed, because the person who wrote them moved on. Mine get watched and fixed.
A chandlery is the shop on the dock that stocks the small things every boat needs. That is the job.
